“Nothing more than the act of breathing can prove the closeness of human beings to each other and to confirm their communication as a mutual exposure that anticipates any initiative.”
Adriana Cavarero

Singing is a production of bodies that emit sounds through the breath. This bodies are always surrounded by a landscape that in turn inspires the songs, animating them with its rhythms and narratives. Singing thus becomes the breath of life of the landscape. Growing out of the experience of the opera July 19, 1985, the first collaboration between OHT and the composer and musician Davide Tomat, the project, under the direction of the choirmaster Luigi Azzolini, starts with a selection of fragments of traditional mountain songs, reiterated and intersecting each other.

Portions of the choruses follow one another in a game of cross-references, cuts and repetitions that bleed the contours of individual tracks until they form a single track: a sound track that harmonizes with the alpine landscape. A dreamy and spiritual listening dimension, close to the enjoyment of ambient electronic music, totally acoustic, immersed in the sound of nature.
The intense and airy moments of mountain songs are alternated with more delicate, almost liturgical and spiritual sections; chorus harmonizations are processed in real time by Davide Tomat through resonant filters, reverbs and echoes in order to create phase shifts and amplify their progressive growths. A sound architecture that breathes with the mountain, creating a mantric and circular experience.
