A Nomadic Book expands and celebrates the first five editions of the Nomadic School. Created in 2020 by Office for a Human Theatre [OHT], the Nomadic School takes place every summer at an altitude of around 2,000 meters in the Alpine region, with the aim of developing—as the book's curators Filippo Andreatta and Sarah Messerschmidt write—"a program of alternative pedagogy rooted in artistic creativity, practicing horizontal learning and pedagogical openness."

The Alps cease to serve merely as a backdrop and instead become worlds in themselves—places to rethink the very notion of theatre, as a “multispecies art form” and “a site where different organisms can interact to produce unexpected and surprising connections.”.
